About Us

The Rotary Club of Westminster East was chartered in March 1948 and over 63 years we have constantly looked for ways to serve the community in which we are based.

We hope that you find the pages on this web site informative and that you will visit us to learn more about our club, Rotary and how you can make a contribution to community life in Westminster and support projects around the world.

The club has an international feel and outlook with members from Austria, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Ireland, Jordan, Mauritius, Sweden, Romania and Turkey.  We believe the international make up of the club is essential to our success and reflects the diversity in Westminster and our community. 

The theme set by Rotary International President Kalyan Banjeree for 2011/12 is ‘Reach Within to Embrace Humanity’.  With this in mind, the Club will use its collective talents to continue to do the things that it does well and which improve the community.  In consequence, we will continue to support Pimlico Puffins, The Soho Community Centre, Kids Out and be ever watchful for other opportunities to showcase and promote Rotary as force for community good.  As its sponsoring club, we will continue to support and promote the Westminster Rotaract Club.

The Club will also continue its support for Rotary's own charity Thanks for Life/End Polio Now and SMCF Ethiopia as one of our international partners. 

Membership development remains a priority and again, the overall focus will be on increasing our membership and diversity base.  We welcome interest from anyone living or working in Westminster or those who wish to join a central London club.
